Cozy Quilts Service Learning Workshop

January 13, 2018

9:00am - 3:00pm

Baytown Community Center, 4020 McDonald Drive

Cozy Quilt Day is a wonderful service learning project that helps 4-H members learn how to sew/quilt while providing a keepsake to young patients at Gillette Children’s Hospital.  This event takes place at Baytown Community Center, 4020 McDonald Drive, from 9 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

We will be creating both baby blanket and teen size quilts.  We are currently seeking donations of flannel (for backing and piecing).  This event will include construction and finishing of the cozy quilts.  This is an excellent project for 4-H’ers enrolled in the quilting or sewing projects!

This service project is open to 4-H’ers and friends 12 years and older. Adults are encouraged to stay and help. Bring your sewing machine, scissors, seam rippers, gray or other neutral colored thread, and pins. Lunch will be pizza, veggies and dip.  Please bring your own beverage.  Chips and sides for lunch are welcome.  $1 donation requested to benefit the Baytown Community Center upkeep.

Any questions or donations, please contact Merrily at (612)618-5846 or
