  • Watonwan County June 2015 4-H Clover Update now available
    The Watonwan County 4-H Clover Update monthly newsletter contains the latest news and information about 4-H events, deadlines, training, scholarship opportunities, projects and other activities for members, families, and volunteers in your county.
  • Watonwan County Fair Food Stand & Bingo Information
    Foodstand; Because of numerous conversations, the consensus is that our clubs want to work together for shifts.. Size of clubs will determine length of shifts. Each Club and independents will have an individual shift description in their club box. Jobs for Bingo; one caller and six workers for each shift (more workers needed, if including youth under 6th grade). Set up-July 14th, Tuesday night-watch for details. At least one adult and 2 youth workers from each club-DNS, J, NWA, NT.
  • Animal ID Deadline May 15th, 4:30 p.m.
    If you are planning on showing any animals at the fair, you should have received a letter about required ID. If you have not, contact the office NOW. May 15 by 4:30 p.m. is the deadline to ID your animals in the office and online.
  • Regional Dog Project Workshop June 6 - Nobles County Fair Grounds-Worthington
    Nobles County 4-H is offering a day FULL of learning for beginners, intermediates and seniors in the Dog Project Area with training in Agility, Obedience, Rally, Showmanship and much more from the MN 4-H Dog Experts. Whether you are new to the dog project or almost a pro, there will be something for everyone! Pre-Registration due by May 6th. Check out the flyer!

  • HPAI - Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Information
    There have been several introductions of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in poultry in Minnesota and other Midwestern states. A hotline number (888-702-9963) is now available for poultry producers and members of the public who have general questions about avian influenza and biosecurity measures they can take to protect their birds. If you become aware of a sudden onset of sickness or high mortality in any kind or type of poultry flock (commercial or backyard) please call the Minnesota Board of Animal Health at 320 214 6700 (Ext 3804) or toll-free at 866-536-7593.
