COUNTY 4-H’ER HONORED BY KIWANIS SUNRISERS OF WINONA

Aaron Nunemacher was recognized as the Kiwanis Sunrisers of Winona 4-H Youth Representative for the month of December. Aaron is the son of Mark and Theresa Nunemacher. He is a member of the Little Valley Victors 4-H Club and a senior at St. Charles High School.
Aaron has served as the Little Valley Victors 4-H Club treasurer and president in previous years. In 4-H Aaron has exhibited a variety of projects at the county and state fair including Digital Photography, Shooting Sports and Wildlife, Gardening, Food and Nutrition, Shop, Performing Arts and more. Aaron has also attended 4-H Regional Camp, Regional Officer Training, Winter Project Day, Federation meetings, BLU and participated in their club’s community pride projects as well as the 4-H Food Stand at the Winona County Fair. Their community pride projects involve ditch clean up, adopt a highway, and a holiday service project. Aaron said “It’s a time to give back to my community and help those less fortunate than me.” 4-H has given Aaron the opportunity to practice and grow his leadership skills. Being an older member of the Little Valley Victors 4-H Club he is proud to be a positive role model for younger kids. “Looking back on when I was a younger kid, I looked up to the older kids, now I am the older kid and I hope I offer the same leadership they showed me.” Aaron says.
Winona Sunrisers Kiwanis Club honors one outstanding Winona County 4-H member during its breakfast meeting the fourth Wednesday of each month. The club meets on a weekly basis every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the Winona Family Restaurant in Winona.
