  • Member Re-Enrollment
    Use to reenroll today! Member enrollment is important as a 4-Her to make sure you get the most up-to-date information. Please re-enroll now! We also have computers available for use at the Extension Office during business hours, or during an evening meeting.
  • Project Workshop Day
    November 5th, at the Montrose Community Center, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm This year’s Project Workshop Day will feature half-hour workshops on four different project areas led by youth leaders. The first workshop sessions will run from 9-10 a.m. followed by an hour long drone session. From 11-noon half hour workshops will resume. Some project areas include wildlife/shooting sports, leadership, sheep, and foods and nutrition.
  • Horse PDC Meeting
    November 17th, Wright County Government Center, Room C118, 7:00 PM (Leadership team 6:15 p.m.) All horse project members and their families can attend Wright County horse project meetings. These meetings are a chance for families to give their input on and make decisions about our great horse project. At this meeting we will start planning some great events for the next year as well as hold the annual officer elections!
  • Awards Committee Meeting
    November 3rd, Wright County Government Center, Room C111, 5:30 PM Are you interested in helping plan the awards banquet? At this meeting we will be selecting award winners and judging project records. Please come if you’re available!

County Agriculture Educator

  • Living on the Land, Buffalo, MN - Oct 19, 2016
    Living on the Land will provide you with a solid background in all aspects of land management. The basic agricultural information will help you be a good steward of your land and prepare you for more advanced learning opportunities. The eight-week course, offered by University of Minnesota Extension, begins with goal setting and individual property inventory, then addresses soil, plant, livestock, and water basics. You’ll also have plenty of time for networking and questions.

    Farmbytes are a new online feature from the UMN Extension Small Farms Team. The main component of each Farmbyte is video. Some videos are instructional, others are interviews with experts.
