  • Sign up for 2018 Minnesota 4-H Livestock Day Camps!

    Livestock Day Camp registration is now open for youth and adults - attend one of the camps being offered in six different Minnesota locations. All camps will take place in June. Register by June 8 to learn more about your beef, meat goat, swine or rabbit projects!
  • Attend Minnesota 4-H Livestock Judging Camp this summer!

    Livestock judging enthusiasts in grades 6-12 are invited to attend livestock judging camp June 18-20 at the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus. Register by June 8.
  • Apply for livestock and horse bonus trips!

    Volunteers and PDC’s – it’s time to get together to apply to receive bonus trips for the state fair and state horse show! The deadline for submission is June 1.
  • Gopher Dairy Camp returns in 2018!

    2018 Gopher Dairy Camp will be held June 10-12 at the University of Minnesota St. Paul campus. This camp is open to youth who have completed grades 6-9, but have not yet started 10th grade. Prior experience with dairy cattle is required.
  • Learn about new Livestock Quality Assurance training options for 4-H animal science members

    New in 2018 – 4-H animal science members can participate in one of two options for Livestock Quality Assurance certification training: 1) Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics (LQA&E) training, or 2) Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) training. All youth participating as state fair 4-H livestock exhibitors must complete Livestock Quality Assurance training requirements.
  • Rabbit Project Clinics

    Rabbit project members (and other interested families) are welcome to attend rabbit clinics. 4-H’ers will have an opportunity to ask questions, have their animals tattooed, learn about showing, and much more. Please note: in the event of inclement weather, the Wright County Extension Office will post a cancellation notice on the Wright County 4-H Facebook page
  • LQA&E (Ethics) Training

    All 4-H’ers who plan on participating in animal projects at the State Fair (except horse, dog, and pets) must have current LQA&E certification. By participating in LQA&E training, 4-H’ers learn proper techniques for livestock care. LQA&E certification is valid for three years. Those enrolled in an applicable project, and are due for training should have received a postcard reminder. Please contact the office if you are not sure if your training is current.
  • Wright County 4-H Centennial Alumni Recognition at the Wright County Fair

    Look for special categories in the premium book to recognize Wright County 4-H Alumni. Nominate someone you know using this form https://z.umn.edu/centennial
  • Wright County 4-H Historical Display - Photos & Artifacts Needed

    This year at the Wright County Fair, we are creating a display to show the history of Wright County 4-H. As part of this exhibit, we are looking for 4-H artifacts & photos to be included in the display. All types of items will be accepted (i.e. individual or club 4-H projects from the past, awards, photos, memorabilia, etc.). Items can be donated or loaned for the exhibit. If you have an item you’d like to contribute/loan, contact Kelly at the Extension office.
