  • Shooting Sports Program – Wildlife Day
    June 4, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at Ney Park Come learn about wildlife management, conservation, and biology at this fun event! This full day event will be held at Ney Park in Maple Lake on June 4 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Please bring a bag lunch, bug spray, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Also, wear tennis shoes or hiking boots because you will be in the woods. This event will fulfill the 8 hours of wildlife training required for shooting sports members in order to be eligible to participate at the State Shoot in September.
  • Wright County 4-H Summer Horse Clinics
    The Wright County 4-H horse project is hosting their summer clinics. Please plan to attend one, several, or all of these clinics! All clinics take place at the Wright County Fairgrounds and 4-H rules apply at all clinics! Clinics are free to 4-H'ers - only currently enrolled 4-H'ers may participate in the clinics.
  • Rabbit Project Clinics
    June 13, Public Works Building Parking Lot, 7:00-8:30 p.m. All rabbit project members (and other interested families) are welcome to attend a rabbit clinic. These clinics will give 4-H’ers an opportunity to ask questions about the rabbit project, have their animals tattooed, and more. Please register at least two days before the clinic at or call the office at 763-682-7394.
  • Rube Goldberg Teams
    There is still time to form your team for the 2017 Rube Goldberg Challenge! Teams learn about engineering while designing a complex machine that completes a simple task. This year’s challenge is to design a machine to raise a 4-H flag and wave it. Team registration deadline is Monday, June 12.   • June Livestock PDC Meeting
    June 15, Public Works Building, 6:30 p.m. Livestock project youth – be sure to join us to help plan the show during the Wright County Fair! Your input and help is valuable. Pizza will be provided for supper!
  • 4-H Residence Camp – Share it with everyone!
    Camp is a fantastic experience for 4-H and non-4-H youth that many members plan to come to each year. Campers, camp counselors, 4-H volunteers and staff learn, work, and have fun in the Sand Dunes State Forest. A free bus will leave from and return to Buffalo Cub Foods. Camp is fun, educational, and affordable. Sign-up and more information can be found online at Packing lists and bus instructions will be emailed out about a week before camp to all those signed up.   • Day Camps
    All youth who just completed grades K-5 are welcome to join us for a day filled with fun activities, learning, songs, and crafts. All day camps are open to both 4-H and non-4-H members and we encourage youth to attend both days of the camp as their will be different activities each day! Registration fills fast so head to to register today!
  • Science Camp
    June 26th-27th, Bertram Chain of Lakes Park, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Are you looking for something fun to do this summer? Try out our science camps featuring hands on activities that will let youth explore technology and their environment. All youth who just completed grades 5-8 are welcome to join us for a day or two of fun! This camp is open to both 4-H and non-4-H members! Register at:
  • 4-H Federation & Advisory Council Meeting
    June 26th, Wright County Government Center, Room 120, 7 p.m. (Advisory Council meets at 6:15 p.m.) The Wright County 4-H Federation meets eight times per year to highlight county events, make county-level recommendations, and provide a social/learning opportunity for 4-H families. This is a great opportunity to go ‘beyond the club’ and see all that 4-H has to offer!
