Shooting Sports & Wildlife: Instructors needed!

With the rising popularity of High School Trap Shooting teams in our area, there seems to be a demand to give youth more opportunities to explore and expand upon this sport.

The 4-H Shooting Sports and Wildlife project area in Yellow Medicine County will work with existing Trap Shooting teams to give youth a place with trained and caring instructors to practice their sport year-round. There are also many opportunities for youth to be involved at a leadership level in this program, from qualifying for and participating in the MN State Shoot, to being invited to shoot in the National contest, this year held in Nebraska, to applying to be a Shooting Sports Ambassador at the State level to share youths' passion for the sport.

We need your help.

We are so excited about starting a program in our county, and we need adults to become certified by 4-H. To learn more about 4-H certification, click here. If you are interested at all and would like more information, please contact Alicia Webb (info below).

YMC 4-H is so invested in starting a program that we have set aside funds to not only cover the cost of the certification, but to also reimburse for travel funds to and from the training. Please consider becoming a 4-H certified Shooting Sports & Wildlife trainer for Yellow Medicine County 4-H; we have excited youth who need a leader; could it be you?
