Let's stock the Food Shelf Club Challenge

Clubs.... are you up for the challenge?

March is Food Shelf month and this is a great way to help our county by helping stock the Big Stone County Food Shelf!  The club that brings in the most amount of items will receive $50, 2nd place will receive $35 and 3rd place will receive $20.

When you think about things to donate, think about what you would like to eat.  Most needed items include:

  • canned tuna,
  • peanut butter,
  • meals in a can (soups, stews, chili),
  • canned fruit in its own juice and water,
  • olive or canola oil,
  • spices,
  • canned foods with pop-top lids,
  • low sugar whole grain cereals,
  • pasta,
  • fresh fruits,
  • healthy snacks( granola bars, nuts, dried fruit),
  • baby food,
  • toiletries,
  • personal hygiene products,
  • toilet paper.

Please do not donate dented cans or items that have expired. All items will need to be dropped off at the Big Stone County Office by March 22nd.  Best of luck and thank you for all you do!
