4-H Upcoming Deadlines and Important Dates

Sheep & Goat Weigh-In and Verification – May 12th
ALL sheep and goats will need to be weighed and verified at the Blue Earth County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 12th.  The time will be from 8:00am-9:30am at the 4-H Building on the Fairgrounds.  ALL sheep and goats must be ID’ed that day.  Please do not forget to print out and bring your proper Sheep & Goat ID forms with you that day.  You can have them started with your name, address, signatures, animal birthdates, etc…

Livestock Identification & Affidavit Information – May 15th
Livestock ID information was sent by email, or available online again this year.  Please double check your email for this detailed message including all of the deadlines and locations to find livestock ID information from mid-April. Again this year the information and affidavits will not be mailed to your homes, it will be your responsibility to enter livestock ID information online, or pick up copies from the Extension Office.  Please do not forget that these affidavits carry a deadline of May 15th.

4-H Camp Registrations Due – May 15th
4-H Camp Registration is in full swing!  Registrations this year will be on a first-come, first served basis with a final deadline of May 15th!  Camp is filling up FAST, so get your registrations in ASAP!  Our camp dates are: June 18-20 for Youth Camp at Camp Patterson in rural Madison Lake, and July 10-12 for teen camp at Camp Omega in rural Waterville.

County Fair Food Stand Sign Up Opens – May 15th
Once again in 2018, you won't be working in the 4-H Food Stand by club, but by signing up for a Food Stand Shift that works best for your family!  We know it's nearly impossible to accommodate all the busy schedules our 4-H members have during the fair, and get them all to work one shift in the food stand together. The sign up for this opens on May 15th at 10:00am.  Check back for the sign-up link closer to the 15th.   Be sure to sign up each member of your family (including any parents, grandparents that will be helping)

Advisory Council Meeting – May 21st
The next meeting of the 4-H Advisory Council will be Monday, May 21st at 6:00pm in the 2nd floor Fireplace Room.  If you are unable to attend, please let Julie know.

Extension Office Closed – May 28th
The Extension Office will be closed on Monday, May 30th for Memorial Day.  We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 31st.
