  • Itasca County 4-H'ers in Washington D.C. for National Youth Summit on Agri-Science
    In order to continue to fuel the discovery of new solutions and solve big challenges in human health, agriculture and food, it will be critical to cultivate the next generation of leaders in science. Three local innovators of tomorrow, LeRoy Porter, Quiana Radaich and Katelyn Slettom, recently got the chance to hone their agri-science skills at the National Youth Summit on Agri-Science in Washington, D.C.
  • Build It! Challenge
    Have fun building and creating your own solutions to a variety of challenges using mandatory pieces and selecting from our “supply pantry” of LEGOs, cups, and sticks at the Science and Robotics Build It! Challenge. Open to 4-H'ers grades K+ on Thursday, April 19th from 6-8p.m. at the Itasca County Courthouse. Register by Friday, April 13 at

    Are you ready to take your Trail Class and Showmanship knowledge to the next level? AQHA competitors Darleen Gargano adn Kelly manner are offering their expertise to Itasca and North St Louis County 4-H'ers in a one-day clinic free of charge. Open to enrolled 4-H'ers grades 3+, this clinic will take place on Saturday, May 12 from 8am-4pm at the Swan River Pastures in Bovey, MN. And we recognize that we have new challenges facing us with a growing list of invasive species and a changing climate. It is very important to take the time to develop clear management goals with intentional planning to maintain the resiliency of your woods.
  • Information on moving docks, lifts and equipment in Itasca County
    If you plan to move a dock, lift or other water equipment from one lake or river to another, all visible zebra mussels, faucet snails, and aquatic plants must be removed whether they are dead or alive.
