    Message from Dorothy: Be fearlessly committed to growing more true leaders
    In her last article as Minnesota 4-H state leader, Dorothy Freeman encourages all youth, volunteers and families to be fearless in growing true leaders.
    Nominate a 4-H volunteer for Salute to Excellence
    Volunteers give much to the Minnesota 4-H program! Consider nominating an outstanding volunteer for a 2019 4-H Salute to Excellence Award. All nomination materials are due by Sept. 15, 2018.
    Plan to attend annual volunteer training this fall
    Powerful things happen for youth when they’re in a positive relationship with caring adults. The 2018 annual volunteer training, “4-H Grows Relationships,” will ready youth and adult volunteers to connect to young people in meaningful ways. Watch for dates and locations across the state this fall and plan to bring a team of youth and adult volunteers.
    Card games, board games, and hands-on learning...Oh my!
    Make sure your club explores these new zoonotic disease and agritourism resources being sent to every county across the state. Then enter your team into a video contest for a chance at winning a Glo-Germ lesson kit for your group - The winning team will have the chance to work with a professional videographer to re-produce their video as a commercial for national distribution!
    Remember livestock demonstration opportunities
    Again in 2018 the Minnesota Livestock Breeders Association will be providing $30 cash awards to all 4-H members who complete a livestock demonstration during 4-H livestock weekend at the Minnesota State Fair. Start planning your livestock demonstration today!
    These scholarships are available for college-bound 4-H youth
    Two scholarships are being offered for Minnesota 4-H youth pursuing post-secondary studies at accredited colleges and universities. Over $58,000 is awarded annually through a competitive application process.

    Nobles County 4-H has several opportunities for exploratory learning for youth ranging in age from Kindergarten-6th Grade! Come check out our 5 summer programs happening in July, all of which happen in varying areas of Nobles County!
    2018 Nobles County Fair detailed schedule
    Are you ready for the Nobles County Fair?! Here's a schedule for you which has ALL OF THE DETAILS you may need! This Schedule includes Performance Day, Pre-Fair Clean Up, Livestock Pen/Gate set up, Stall Card Hanging, Office moving to the Fair, Dog Show & Set Up, show schedules, ID & Weigh In times, and awesome fairboard planned activities. Please note the fair is a week prior to it usually take place. This year, we have also altered our Livestock Show Schedules- TAKE NOTE!

    Pre & Post-Fair clean up shifts
    Clubs! Please don't forget your designated Pre-Fair and Post Fair Clean Up Shifts! Pre-Fair Clean Up Shifts take place on Saturday, July 21st and Monday, July 23rd. Post Fair Clean Up takes place Sunday, August 5th! We will need all hands on deck to make these days go smoothly! Click the article title to read what shift your club is scheduled for.
