GATEway Grade 3-6 Science Fair - February 17, 2018

February 17, 2018

Before the Science Fair, think of a topic that interests you, then do an experiment at home to learn more about it. Present your experiment with pictures, words, and graphs on a display board. Bring your board to the Science Fair to explain your project to reviewers who are science professionals in our community. You'll see a fun Science Museum presentation and receive a certificate of participation, written reviews of your project, a snack, and a cool t-shirt!

Registration fee is $12.

Registration deadline is January 24, but space is limited so register early!

Registration is through Rochester Community Education:

To find more information about the GATEway Science Fair, go to and click on “Science Fair” under “Hot News.”

All interested students in grades 3-6 in any public, private, or home school in the Rochester area may participate. Students may enter projects individually or as teams. The science fair is non-competitive: no ribbons or prizes are awarded. Financial assistance may be available to cover the costs of experiment and display materials if requested by January 17.

The Science Fair is run by volunteers who would welcome your help! If you would like to join our planning team, or if you have any questions, contact Dee Voldal (507-722-2820), or
