Plan to attend annual volunteer training this fall

Our 4-H’ers may know each other, but are they really connected? Powerful things happen for youth when they’re in a positive relationship with caring adults and older teens. Those relationships lead to a greater sense of confidence, competence, character, caring and connections for young people.

The 2018 annual volunteer training, “4-H Grows Relationships," will ready youth and adult volunteers to connect to young people in meaningful ways.

You will leave this training with:

  • Tools to build strong relationships with youth and adults.
  • Ideas from other volunteers on what works for them.
  • A plan to connect every young person in meaningful ways to other young people and adults.

This training is for all 4-H youth and adult volunteers in clubs, county and tribal groups and programs, including committees, federations and councils. Each group should bring a team of youth and adult volunteers to get the most out the content.

The training will be offered throughout Minnesota this fall. Dates and locations are posted at If you don’t see a date for your county or tribal program, you’re welcome to register at any training. Just call the person listed as the contact in that county or click on the county name to visit their website.
