2018 Rice County 4-H Fair Information!

The County Fair is coming! Let's work together to make the fair a success.

Following are publications/forms you will need to help you enter your 4-H exhibits in the 2018 Rice County Fair:

Specific project information and entry forms (if needed) if you are exhibiting (includes Cloverbuds) in:

FairEntry Help Guides and videos are posted on the Minnesota 4-H website.

Livestock – You will NOT attach the animal to the class when you enter the class on FairEntry.  Animal(s) will be attached to the class at the county fair check-in.  Which means only add the allowed number of entries per class.  Here is a guide for adding “Multi Entries” for allowed animal classes.

NEW THIS YEAR….we are using SignUpGenuis for the following needed help.  Sign-ups will open May 1st (you will receive an email inviting you to sign-up).  Please consider helping out during the week of the county fair:

  • Volunteers to help with recording on General Project Judging Day, Monday, July 16th, two shifts.  Volunteer Sign-Up
  • Each family/member are to select shifts that will work for them in the food and malt stands.  There will be no club shift assignments.     Food Stand     Malt Stand

REMINDERS:

  • General project classes are based on grade completed as of July 2018.
  • Each exhibit/animal needs to be entered either in FairEntry or listed on a submitted County Fair Advance Entry Worksheet to receive premiums, awards and/or state trips. Exhibit/animals that are not correctly entered will only receive the blue, red or white ribbon and premium.

Informational Session on Monday, June 25th - 7 p.m., 4-H Building. This is a great opportunity to ask your unanswered fair questions!

DEADLINES!

Fair Entry on-line must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 25th!  

If you are submitting the paper entry form it must be:

  • Turned in to the extension office by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 25th!
  • Turned in by the end of the Federation Meeting on Monday, June 25th!
  • Mailing – must be postmarked by Monday, June 25th!
