Wilkin County Extension Office, Conference Room

505 8th St S #2, Breckenridge

Dinner served at 6:00 pm

Our 4-H’ers may know each other, but are they really connected? Powerful things happen for young people when they’re in a positive relationship with caring adults and older teens. Those relationships lead to a greater sense of confidence, competence, character, connection, and caring for young people.

The 2018 annual volunteer training will ready youth and adult volunteers to connect to young people in meaningful ways. You will leave this training with:

Tools to build strong relationships with youth and adults.

Ideas from other volunteers on what works for them.

A plan to connect every young person in meaningful ways to other young people and adults.

The statewide annual volunteer training is for all 4-H youth and adult volunteers in clubs and county or tribal groups and programs, including committees, Federations, and Leader’s Councils.  Each group should bring a team of youth and adult volunteers to start planning ways to deepen relationship-building with 4-H’ers.

If this date does not work for your team, check the web link below to find additional training dates, locations, and times that may work better for you and your team; volunteers are welcomed at any location.  https://z.umn.edu/4-HGrowsRelationships
