    Ambassador Applications

Do you love to talk to people? Are you passionate about 4-H? Are you willing to help out when needed? Are you looking for ways to improve your resume? If you answered yes to these questions, you should become a Wright County 4-H Ambassador!  To become an Ambassador you need to have completed 8th grade.

    Re-Enrollment Begins!

Each year, 4-H families must re-enroll both youth members and adult volunteers. The process is quick and easy; even families with multiple members should be done in ten minutes or less. Re-enrolling early ensures that critical communications will be received, especially as it relates to deadlines and project specific information. Detailed information about online enrollment and re-enrollment is available at:

    Advisory Council Budget Meeting

Advisory Council will be meeting to work on the budget for the 2018-2019 year.  Families are welcome to forward any feedback regarding the budget to the office for discussion at this meeting.

    Federation Meeting

This meeting will also feature ‘officer elections,’ where the Federation will choose new youth and adult representatives for the 4-H year 2018-2019.  All adult volunteers and youth in grades 7+ are encouraged to consider running for an office. Also, at this meeting, please join us for a summer re-cap meeting.  We will hear reports on all the great 4-H activities that have taken place, as well as receive the proposed 2018-19 budget recommendations from the 4-H Advisory Council.  All families are welcome to attend as voting members of the Wright County 4-H Federation.

    4-H Club Olympics & Potluck

A wacky fun game day for all 4-H members and adults.  Form teams for your club.  Clubs can have more than one team or include members from other clubs.  Team costumes or t-shirts are encouraged!  All teams must have 5 members and include: 1 adult, 1 Cloverbud, 1-3rd-5th grader & 2 members of any age.  Prizes for the top 3 teams, teams with the most creative team costume and more!  If you don’t have a team, contact Kelly at the Extension office to participate.

    Shooting Sports Leader Training

We could use some more help with next year’s shooting sports practices in all disciplines.    All that is required to volunteer with this program is to attend a SS&W Leader Training either this fall or in the spring (they’ll teach you everything you need to know) and complete the volunteer screening.   Wright County 4-H pays the registration fee, and will reimburse volunteers for mileage and lodging to attend (we do ask if 4-H covers the cost that you commit to the program for at least 3 years).

    Fall 4-H Promotion—Everyone’s Help Needed!

This fall Wright County 4-H has several events where we are promoting 4-H, including open houses and a corn maze! Volunteers are needed to help with these events.

    Project Records

4-H records are a fun and easy way to keep track of all of a member’s 4-H experiences! 4-H’ers use records to reflect on what they have done, what they enjoyed, what they would change, and how they could improve. Project records that are done correctly create a summary of a member’s entire career in 4-H that can be a really neat keepsake to look back on for years to come!   Now is a great time to start working on your project records.  Check out the resources below for more information or contact the office if you need help getting started

National 4-H Week is Coming October 7-13!
