How does your viewing point affect your
point of view?
Your view of a neighborhood is very different than
a bird's or a pilot's view. You can see the fruit on the trees.
Birds can see all the trees in the orchard. A pilot can see the
whole neighborhood. What you see and believe about the world depends
on how far you are from what you see, or the scale of your view.
Scale is a tool for relating distances on-the-ground to corresponding
distances on a printed map or an aerial photograph.
