Douglas County is hosting an in-person 4-H Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics (LQA&E) training on Thursday, July 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Douglas County Public Works in Alexandria. This training is free for Douglas County members and $5 for members from other counties.
LQA training must be taken by youth in grades 6 and up exhibiting 4-H livestock to be eligible for the Minnesota State Fair. In-person LQA&E certification is good for three fair seasons, so training must be taken every three years.
