Wadena County 4-H Member Spotlight

This month’s member spotlight is a bold, extremely outgoing, and bubbly young lady who is always friendly and willing to help. She is a long time 4-H’er from the 4-Corners 4-H Club, Miss Ashley Shike.

A senior at Verndale High School, Ashley has been in 4-H for 9 years and her favorite project is sheep. In school, Ashley is involved in FCCLA, choir, band, garbage can band, track, show choir, and helping 2nd graders read; what a resume’! Ashley’s favorite 4-H Activity is 4-H camp, which I can tell you from experience, she is great at! The skills she’s honed through 4-H are speaking and leadership. If she could win a lifetime supply of anything, it would be shoes-we’re right there with ya!! I think Ashley’s unique hobby is super cool, in her free time, she writes her own songs! Maybe someday we’ll get to hear them! Given all of her activities, its no wonder that in her free time she likes to sleep and read! Keep up your incredible enthusiasm for life, Ashley!

You’re going places!
