Robotics meets Rube Goldberg

Come "Build it Up !" with us as we begin our winter session of 4-H Robotics!

This year, we will be adding a little twist to our program as part of our sessions will focus on Rube Goldberg! Sessions will include building and programming a robot made out of Legos and creating machines that use a chain reaction to complete a simple task. Still not sure what Rube Goldberg is? Check out some of these favorite movies and watch these machines at work: Edward Scissorhands, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Back to the Future I and III, Superman III and Goonies, just to name a few!

The sessions will on the following Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at the Ortonville Library:

  • January 10, 17, 24, 31
  • February 7, 8, 14, 21
  • March 7, 14, 21, 28

Cost for the entire program is $10. Youth involved in the program will also take tours of Poet BioRefining and Big Stone Power Plant.
