2018 Mahnomen County Fair Schedule and Critical Information

SCHEDULE

MAY

  •  5/1 FairEntry Registration Opens. Our URL is http://mahnomen.fairentry.com, or click the link below.  Instructions can be found here.
  • This year the premium book contains a section on copyright law and infringement.  This is especially important for fine arts!  Please review this page from the University of Iowa Extension, and take this into consideration when preparing your exhibits for the fair! Exhibits should contain original work, if you have any questions please call us! 
  • 5/15: Must be enrolled in 4-H by this date to exhibit in 4-H project areas at the fair.
  • 5/15: Animal ID process must be completed. Instructions can be found here.

JUNE:

  •  6/18: Pre-Fair Clean-Up at the Fairgrounds. 3:30pm-until done:  Bring wheelbarrows, rakes, gloves, shovels, power-washers, etc.
  •  6/20: Fair Project registration via Fair Entry must be complete
    • Fashion Review & Demonstrations: TBD
  • 6/27: Static/General exhibit judging 4pm-7pm. Arrive no later than 6 pm.
  • 6/28: Livestock Entry 8:00a.m. – 10:00a.m. All animals should be in place by 10:00a.m.
    • 4-H Dog Show (Obedience, Showmanship & Agility) 1:00 p.m. start
    • Poultry & Rabbit Judging 4:00p.m. start
  • 6/29:  Large Animal Judging: Swine, Sheep, Dairy, Beef, And Goat:  2:00pm start
    • Horse Show 4:30p.m. - 6:00p.m.
  •  6/30: Breakfast at the Fair 8am. Premium Auction 11:30 am. Criteria for Premium Auction is here.
    • State Fair Meeting: 2pm, 4-H Building.
    • Livestock and Exhibit Release 8:00pm
