    The 9th Annual SW 4-H Animal Science Challenge combines the skill-a-thon, educational, hands-on workshops and project bowl into one remarkable event that will challenge any animal science enthusiast! Individuals do not need to participate in project bowl and are welcome to take part in the skill-a-thon and project workshops.

    Plan to join fellow 4-H adult volunteers to network and gain new ideas for helping youth learn through projects. One of our overarching 4-H program goals is that "youth will learn by developing a passion in their area of interest". To support this goal, we need volunteers to share their interests and lead project learning opportunities to help youth identify and pursue areas of interest. It will be held on Saturday, February 23 from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm at SMSU in Marshall.

Patterned after the golden-oldie television show College Bowl, 4-H project bowls challenge teams of 3-6 youth on their knowledge of these 4-H areas: Dairy, Dogs, General Livestock, Horses, Lamas, Poultry, Rabbit and Wildlife.

    4-H Fruit can be picked up by families on Thursday, March 14th from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. If you are unable to pick up your family’s fruit order, please contact someone else and make arrangements for them to pick it up for you.
