This course is based on the Rings of Engagement, which shows the range of youth engagement and youth-adult partnerships.

WeConnect is both a program model and a curriculum that helps young people see that they are participants in a global society. It prepares them to thrive in culturally-diverse settings. Developed for middle school-aged youth, but can be adapted for other age groups.

We can design programs to support social and emotional learning (SEL), but we can also be more intentional about how we respond in the moment to SEL skill-building opportunities.

This training builds an understanding of how to support social emotional learning (SEL).  Participants explore practices that introduce SEL opportunities into existing programs. They walk away with ways to support social emotional skill growth.

This training explores youth work management and leadership. It provides internal professional development strategies targeted to youth work practitioners.

This class examines the creation of inclusive youth programs. Participants will explore cultural identities and examine how they affect interactions with youth. Culturally responsive practice creates a sense of belonging and empowerment in young people.

Exploring the research behind positive youth development can be critical to how we understand and work with young people. In this class you will create resources and learn skills to help you work with young people.

This free, self-guided course gives you an opportunity to learn more about youth development. Each lesson is designed to give you the opportunity to think and reflect on the work you do with youth. These come from a solid grounding in research and many years of daily work with youth by youth workers across the country.
